Orienteering is a sport that combines running with navigation. It is a timed race in which individual participants use a specially created map to select routes and navigate through diverse terrain and visit all the set markers.
It is a Great activity to play as a family or as part of a group. It is a highly competitive sport, but also great fun. You will Learn map skills to use when you are on the course, from our experienced instructors.
We run our orienteering course in Woodquarter Forest walks and surrounding areas. We have many different courses both short and long, and these can be tailored to your needs.
All coaches at Eco Atlantic Adventures are trained to teach invaluable orienteering skills, guaranteed to get you thinking and working as a team. We recommend that anyone participating in orienteering wear comfortable loose clothing, rain gear, runners or boots. NO JEANS. It can be mucky so old footwear and clothing is recommended. Insect-repellant and suncream in the summer.
